Tellicherry Peppercorns

Tellicherry is a grade, not a place-brand: peppercorns left on the vine longer so they grow larger and develop more flavor before harvest. The result is bolder and more complex than standard black pepper, with citrus and pine notes behind the heat.

Ingredients: Black peppercorns.

How to use: Grind them fresh. Pepper loses its aromatic oils quickly once ground, which is the whole argument for buying whole peppercorns.

Try it on: steak, eggs, pasta, salads, and anywhere pepper is meant to be noticed rather than assumed.
