Ground Cloves

Fruity but sharp and bitter with a hint of heat, and they leave a faint numbing sensation behind. The aroma is warm and assertive with peppery undertones. Powerful enough that an eighth of a teaspoon changes a whole pot.

Ingredients: Ground cloves.

Try it in: ham glazes, pumpkin and apple pie, mulled drinks, braises, curry blends, and gingerbread.
