Dried Jalapeno Flakes

Crushed jalapenos with their familiar earthy, grassy flavor and a medium heat, between 2,500 and 8,000 Scoville units. The flakes rehydrate in anything wet, so they soften into a sauce or stay bright on top of a finished dish.

Ingredients: Crushed jalapeno chiles.

Try it in: chili, cornbread, salsa, sauces, stews, taco meat, and sprinkled over chicken, eggs, pork chops, and pizza.
