Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Dried red chiles crushed with the seeds left in, which is where much of the heat lives. Straightforward, bright heat with a little fruitiness behind it.

Ingredients: Crushed red pepper.

Try it on: pizza, pasta, pasta sauce, sausage, greens, pickles, and infused oil. Bloom the flakes in warm oil to spread the heat through a dish.
