Most Kansas City rubs lean sweet. This one pulls back on the sugar and lets the savory side through: paprika and garlic up front, coriander and cumin behind them, and a little turbinado sugar for the crust without turning candy-like on the grill. Good on a long smoke or a weeknight sheet pan.
Ingredients: Hand blended with paprika, garlic, salt, turbinado sugar, coriander, cumin, mustard, black pepper, celery, thyme, sage, clove, and oregano.
Try it on: ribs, pork shoulder, chicken, brisket, and salmon.
